DR650 BASE GASKET OIL LEAK

The dr650 used paper base gaskets prior to 2001, which are prone to failure. Mine, a 2000 dr, leaks enough to soak your boot on long rides. A steel base gasket is available now for replacement, and can be had with a new suzuki overhaul gasket set, or from many dr650 performance parts dealers.


I recommend you have a understanding of the camshaft timing chain self adjuster, and related parts before starting the removal of the cylinder, as any error here may crop up during reassembly as bent cam chain rubbing blocks that could effect valve timing.SUZUKI DR650 SE base gasket oil leak video.
